pretty poor gallery I know! Things I found interesting in Berlin were: 1- The ability to take photos of art in art galleries. This continues on from my ideas from the value project, its just like disneyland and tourist locations. 2- Artist commune, artist’s living together, still a presence of making money even in somewhere [...]

Francis Alys In this piece Alys dragged a blog of ice through Mexico City until it melted. It is very similar to my dragging rock piece in the respects of practicalities and in concept. Alys’s efforts can be seen as completely ludicrous and futile just as my work can be seen as it. In a [...]

So I’m heading on down to the disney idea. I think its really quite a nice idea, with disney characters being my heroes at the time, as compared to now when artists are my heroes. So I’m going to make an action figure. Probably using an existing disney characters body with the fountain as a [...]

So I think I’m going to look into this disney thing more. Alan made an interesting point about both the age of the Fountain and the age of mickey mouse being quite similar. It will be interesting to see the comparisons. However, the are slightly different ages, fountain was made in 1917 and mickey mouse [...]

So you think about prints, and how the amount in the series is taken into account when pricing them, ie 1/100 would be of much less value than 1/3. This is the same for all art in my opinion, art can be done in series even when printing is not used. In order to achieve [...]

So I’m moving on or trying to move on, but its hard work. I’ve done this subject really quickly in the past so its a different feeling starting on something that you’ve already thought very deeply about. It is something that I find incredibly interesting though, should art be so expensive? Why is it the [...]

The Mona Lisa was stolen in 1911 by Vincenza Peruggio, a Louvre employee. Recovered after two years. The Scream was stolen in 1994 and recovered in the year. http://www.saztv.com/ thats the site for the world’s most wnated art that is. Why is art so valuable? Why is art so treasured. These are things I am [...]

So I went through some ideas in my head and on paper to try and decide which topic to go for. really wanted to investigate the value of art and the money side to it as I had done before, but I knew that three weeks was not long enoug a time for me to [...]
